Anchored Homeschool Academy exists to support homeschooling families by providing Christ-centered academic enrichment, meaningful community, and spiritual growth. Through collaborative learning and a firm foundation in God’s Word, we seek to equip students and families to live anchored lives of faith and purpose.

OUR PURPOSE

Anchored Homeschool Academy is designed to support homeschooling families seeking an enriching educational experience that emphasizes strong friendships, hands-on activities, and a supportive Christian community. Our co-ops are for families with children in preschool through high school. Daycare is also offered for infants and toddlers.

OUR VALUES

Anchored Homeschool Academy is dedicated to partnering with Christian families who seek a distinctly Christian education. Academic excellence is a key priority as we aim to nurture students in wisdom, maturity, and a deep love for Jesus and others. The authority and sufficiency of the Bible is the foundation for our educational model and curriculum. We affirm the Lordship of Jesus Christ and proclaim the Gospel's transformative power in everything we do so that the families and students we serve may be equipped to live for God's glory.

OUR MISSION

Anchored Homeschool Academy gathers once a week on Tuesdays for 29 weeks between September and May, with eight break weeks included. The weekly Tuesday gathering is divided into two programs: (1) The morning program, which runs from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM for ages 4-12th grade, and (2) the afternoon program (1:15 PM to 2:15 PM), which is open to ages 1st-12th grade.

Our goal is to provide a community for homeschooling families to fellowship with other like-minded families and learn in a simple but effective education style. To this end, Anchored offers class subjects that enrich what families are working on at home. Subjects that are offered, but not limited to, are:

  • Bible (Chapel, Worship, Small Groups, Apologetics, Worldview etc.)
Memorization (Includes Bible, Vocabulary, Poetry, etc.)
Science (Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics, etc.)
  • History & Literature (American, Ancient, Medieval, Modern, etc.)
  • Book Club
  • Writing
  • Logic and Critical Thinking

** Building a strong community means everyone gets involved. For this reason, Anchored Homeschool Academy is not a "drop-off" program. Each family will be asked to contribute in some volunteer role to support the program each week. The co-op is a high-parent-involvement program that seeks to bless all families involved.

You are as much serving God in looking after your own children, & training them up in God’s fear, & minding the house, & making your household a church for God, as you would be if you had been called to lead an army to battle for the Lord of hosts.

HAVE QUESTIONS?

Is this effective?

A homeschool academic co-op is an effective educational model because it combines the strengths of individualized learning with the benefits of collaborative instruction. In a co-op setting, students receive focused, high-quality teaching in core academic subjects—often from parents or mentors who bring passion and expertise—while still allowing for the flexibility and personalization that homeschooling provides. Unlike traditional classrooms, co-ops typically have smaller class sizes, enabling more meaningful student-teacher interactions and tailored support. They also foster a close-knit community where families share resources, encouragement, and accountability. This partnership not only enhances academic excellence but also reinforces values and character development, making the co-op model a powerful and holistic approach to education.

Can I do this?

Yes—you already are! Every time you answer your child’s questions or help them explore the world, you're laying the foundation for lifelong learning. You won’t be alone in this journey either. Our co-op community is made up of like-minded Christian families who will walk alongside you, offering support and encouragement as you pursue an academically rigorous and biblically faithful education.

How much does it cost?

One of our primary objectives is keeping costs low for parents. With that in mind, the ministry is structured to allow parents to get started for $750 per child, which will cover all supply costs for our morning program for the entire year. The afternoon program, which families will have the option of participating in, is also available as an add-on for an additional fee. Additionally, we offer elective classes on Thursdays for an extra fee. Some elective classes may be covered with charter funds, depending on the nature of the class.
